Coştur Mimarlık is a studio that sees architecture not as a search for form, but as the composition of a way of living.

The studio

Since our founding we have worked on residential, commercial and mixed-use buildings. Whatever the scale, we begin every project with the same question: how will life happen here? Running the design process together with the client, explaining the reasoning behind each decision, and staying on site until the very end are inseparable parts of how we work.

Principles

Context
Every building belongs somewhere. The slope of the site, its neighbours, the climate and the local building culture are our starting point.

Simplicity
We believe what remains after removing the unnecessary is stronger. We would rather use few materials well.

Light
Daylight is not a detail for us but the main material. We plan from the outset how a space will change through the day.

Continuity
The same team stays with a project from the first sketch to handover. It is the only way a design survives construction.
