Between the open plan and the meeting rooms we placed a thick timber band serving as both storage and sound insulation, separating the two without producing a corridor.

The client's clearest request was for an office without distraction. We treated that as a question of acoustics and light rather than of style.
Between the open plan and the meeting rooms we placed a thick timber band that serves as both storage and sound insulation, separating the two without producing a corridor.
Colour was almost entirely removed, leaving lime plaster, natural timber and grey wool. The emphasis is on how light from the windows moves across the wall through the day.
