Approach
Instead of levelling the sloping site we followed it. Set as a thin line parallel to the contours, the house needed minimal excavation and opened every room directly to the sea.

Because the plot falls steeply towards the sea, we set the house as a thin line parallel to the contours rather than spreading it out. This reduced excavation and opened every room directly to the view.
The living area establishes an uninterrupted relationship between terrace and sea through a single wide opening. The bedrooms are pulled north, staying cool and quiet through the day.
The material palette is limited to three elements: cast-in-place concrete, natural oak and matt black metal — surfaces that age without wearing out.
